So, you know that moment when you're in a store and you see a pair of boots that you just have to have. Only to get them home and never really wear them. Well it happens to me....ALOT! I bought these boots awhile back on sale at the Aldo outlet. You know I'm not sure why I bought them really. In my personal opinion I not really a fan of white/off white boots. I always feel like they have a hint of cheap stripper-prostitute (No offense to anyone partaking in those professions). However, these were on sale and had a cute cowboy feel to them. I thought "Ooooh these are cute, have to get them". Well guess what, I have worn them once! Count it, 1 time. Unbelievable! (but not uncommon in my life). I had just come to the conclusion that I was holding on to them with the thought of "one day", and that day was probably never coming. I was just about to take them to goodwill, when I thought to myself....hmmm why not paint them another color. And so I did. I took my off white boots and made them blue!

I have to say I really like them! The color is so vibrant and different. Best part they weren't that hard to do. I ended up using acrylic latex paint. Yes I know, technically you're suppose to paint walls and furniture with that stuff, but leave it to me break the rules. I went to Home Depot, and got a tester size jar of color. The look on the paint guy's face when I told him I wasn't using it to put on the wall, but rather shoes was priceless.
A little bit of paint and a little bit of time, and VOLIA I have new boots.
I guess now it's on to the next project. Until the next time.
